Last night, we the Board of the Atascadero Printery Foundation, showed up in force to share our ideas, concerns and hopes for the Printery building. Each member of the board, who gave their allotted 3 minutes to address the Mayor and the City Council, gave an insightful and at times impassioned plea to have their help to stop the impending tax sale of this gorgeous, historic building.
We had no idea how our words would be heard, but in the end, the Mayor and City Council agreed to create an ad-hoc committee going forward, for these very reasons in the name of preservation. We will be meeting with this committee in the next coming days to work together to stall the tax sale.
We would also like to thank our friends the Masons and other members of the community who showed up last night to lend support and bend the ear of the City powers that be.
Please check back here or on our Facebook page for up to the minute information. And thank you for your continued support!
